Kim Jacobs-Beck is a second-year student in Miami University's low-residency MFA program. She also serves as Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Professor of English at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College. She holds a PhD from Miami University in British Romantic Literature. Two of her poems were recently nominated for Best of the Net by Apple Valley Review. Her work appears at Apple Valley Review, "Love & Ensuing Madness" at Rat's Ass Review, Thank You for Swallowing, NILVX, Muddy River Poetry Review, and Bright Sleep.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
