Kimberly Gail Wieser is Associate Chair and an Associate Professor of English at the University of Oklahoma, where she specializes in American Indian and Indigenous rhetorics and literatures and serves as the National Director for Native Writers’ Circle of the Americas, housed at OU since 1991. She is the author of Back to the Blanket: Recovered Rhetorics and Literacies in American Indian Studies and one of the co-authors of Reasoning Together: The Native Critics Collective. Her poetry collection Texas ... to Get Horses was published by That Painted Horse Press in 2019. She is the recipient of a National Humanities Center Summer Fellowship (2020/deferred to 2022) for her manuscript in progress, “War Began to Kindle and Was Cruelly Fought”: Historical Poems from The DeSoto Chronicles.
