Laura Joyce-Hubbard is a fiction editor at TriQuarterly and a Northwestern University MFA candidate. Her nonfiction and poetry appear in Boulevard, Ninth Letter, Hippocampus, Line of Advance, Tupelo Quarterly, and elsewhere. Her work has been supported by the Ragdale Foundation with a Janecek Fellowship and 2021 residency and the National Endowment for the Arts with a fellowship to attend VCCA (2021). She’s the recipient of the 2020 Essay Prize in the William Faulkner Pirates' Alley Competition.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
