Mary Anna King's memoir, Bastards, was published by W.W. Norton & Co in 2015 and has since become a foundational text within the adoptee community. Her writing has appeared in The Toast, DAME, and Quaint. She lives in Los Angeles, where she enjoys tackling ambitious baking projects and sharing the results with strangers. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
