Public speaker, writer, vlogger, entertainer, Chick-Fil-A connoisseur, and hair advice extraordinaire, Melissa Radke has, in just a little over a year, amassed an enormous following across social media with posts garnering over 140 million views. After graduating from Belmont University with a degree in Commercial Music Performance and working in Nashville as a session singer for many notable artists, Melissa returned home to East Texas where she has embraced a life of exciting and unexpected adventure in speaking, writing, filming, hosting, and chasing after her two children and her husband, affectionately named The Attorney General. Melissa’s new book Eat Cake. Be Brave. is on sale now, and she is currently filming an unscripted family sitcom set to premiere on USA network.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
