Sarah Anjum Bari (she/her) is a writer and editor from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is the former Books & Literary Editor of Bangladesh’s The Daily Star newspaper and an MFA candidate in the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa, where she teaches creative writing and publishing. Her writing has appeared in Lit Hub, Electric Literature, Full Stop, Wasafiri, and Himal Southasian, among others. Her essay, “Strains,” was shortlisted for the 2024 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize.
