Siân Griffiths lives in Ogden, Utah, where she directs the Creative Writing Program at Weber State University. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Ninth Letter, Quarterly West, Cave Wall, River Teeth, Versal, and Fifth Wednesday Review, among many other publications. Versal nominated her story “What Is Solid” for a Pushcart Prize, and Janet Burroway included her poem, “Fistful,” in the third edition of Imaginative Writing. Her first novel, Borrowed Horses (New Rivers Press, 2014), was a semi-finalist for the 2014 VCU Cabell First Novelist Award.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
