Susan Straight’s new memoir, In the Country of Women, will be released August 6, 2019 by Catapult. A new edition of her novel Highwire Moon was published in July 2019 by Counterpoint. She’s published eight novels. Her essays and stories have appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, McSweeney’s, The Rumpus, Harpers, Granta, and other places. She is Critic-at-Large for the Los Angeles Times.
