Willie Lee Kinard III (he/they) is a poet, art director, brand designer, and sound artist forged in Newberry, South Carolina. With words in POETRY, Hayden's Ferry Review, WILDNESS, and elsewhere, he holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Pittsburgh and is an avid believer in evening thunderstorms and loose leaf tea. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere.
