Coming Soon: Sex Galaxy

What do you get when you splice together burlesque queens, 50′s sci-fi, and other bits of film that were never properly copyrighted? You get the first blue/green film–green because it’s made from recycled film and blue because, well…

As sloppily dubbed as any Japanese sci-fi import from the ’50s, Sex Galaxy’s pinball dialogue comes off like a cross between Mystery Science Theater 3000 and an R-rated Futurama. It’s an amusing trip down memory lane, complete with a robotic pimp and cheesy kaleidoscopic freak-out scenes.

The movie is actually screening now, as opposed to the “soon” in the post title at the Roxie in San Francisco, as part of their “Another Hole in the Head” film fest. Yet another reason I really wish I still lived in San Francisco.

You can see the trailer for the film in our Video Interruption section.
