July’s Rumpus Book Club Selection

By

Next month’s Rumpus Book Club selection will indeed satisfy your summer fiction cravings. How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive is Christopher Bouchet’s debut novel, published by Melville House Publishing.

The story involves death and road trips, a 1971 VW Bug and is modeled off of a 1969 hippie handbook with which it shares a title. Rumpus Book Club readers have an even sweeter deal because these books will be boasting a one-of-a-kind Rumpus book cover (pictured below).

If you’ve got any Rumpus Book Club ambivalence preventing you from getting on board, here are some reasons to launch you out of your state of indecision. For $25 a month, you get a book that has yet to be released—a book that comes with an online chat with the author and opportunities to review the book on the Rumpus.
