Sara Lautman is a cartoonist from New Jersey. She makes illustrations and comics about whatever she wants, an erratic category with some consistent subheadings: autobiography, queerness, books, chronic anxiety, pratfalls, memory, money, movies, music. She draws and writes for publications like Bitch Magazine, Heeb, The Hairpin, The L Magazine, Razorcake, The Stranger and Comics Workbook. Meanwhile, she publishes her own dang self in the booklet series MACROGROAN, in addition to other standalone comics. MACROGROAN is also a blog. Her illustrations have been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, and will be represented this year in the first Comic and Cartoon Art Annual. She is currently an MFA candidate in Illustration Practice at MICA in Baltimore Maryland. More from this author →
