Extreme Storytelling and Literary Mayhem

By

Mike Edison has been promoting the paperback edition of his book I Have Fun Everywhere I Go: Savage Tales of Pot, Porn, Punk Rock, Pro Wrestling, Talking Apes, Evil Bosses, Dirty Blues, American Heroes, and the Most Notorious Magazines in the World in true Edison form: backed by a rock band.

At Frank’s Cocktail Lounge in Fort Greene Jon Spencer and the Space Liberation Army blasted away onstage while Mike told his outlandish tales of porn shoots, infiltrating Jews for Jesus, and the last time he hung out with friend and punk rock legend GG Allin, all while playing keyboards and Theremin.

When asked how he would classify this style of reading Edison told SPIN.com, “I like to call it extreme storytelling. […] Literary mayhem. We’re 21st century beatniks. Troubadours for the new-world order.”
