“Doofuses,” “goofballs,” “self-aware parasites,” and “political pornographers.”
The folks over at RedState use some pretty fun words to describe Donald authors Stephen Elliott and Eric Martin (as well as the book’s publisher, McSweeney’s) in a rather rant-y post about the new novel. But worry not Donald-scribes, while name calling is apparently fair game “Rumsfeld wouldn’t even bother to kick [your] asses” according to the post. Whew.

That’s a pretty intense opening paragraph.
I don’t think they understand what a notochord is…its in very primitive fish and in embryos. The rest of us have, um, spinal chords. Maybe before they review books they should make sure they’ve looked up all the big words in the dictionary. Unless they’re intentionally trying to imply that those who think the anti-war movement is silly are lower life forms? In which case, carry on by all means!
I’ve come across Moe Lane’s rantings more than once in my time in the political blog world, and it’s clear that he thinks anti-war activists are a lower form of life, and that he thinks he was being witty with that notochord remark. But he also showed himself to be fairly clueless in that glossing of the excerpt the WaPo provided, which isn’t very surprising. If you don’t have anything better to do for the next ten years (and I promise you, you do), just leaf through Lane’s pieces on RedState or on his own site. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
