Jen Phillips at Mother Jones decided to pen a limerick to express her outrage over the uterine fiasco with the Florida GOP, in which Democratic Representative Scott Randolph was reprimanded after he said the word “uterus” on the House floor. He was told that body parts were not to be discussed.
Here’s Phillips’ limerick:
A man on the Florida House floor
Cried, “Let us say uterus no more!
It’s vulgar and crude
(especially to dudes)
And that’s who this party is for!”
Check out the favorite limericks written by readers. It’s pretty funny to see how people chose to rhyme the word “uterus.” Maybe try your hand at one if you’re participating in NaPoWriMo.

Sigh
My Uterus, My Uterus, My Uterus
They just can’t quite get used to us
Little scared boys in Big suits of blue
Can’t fathom a uterus if they can’t tie a shoe!
