A Brief History of the Rumpus Book Club
The Rumpus Book Club kicked off on May 19, 2010, when Stephen decided to announce it in his Daily Rumpus in his own special way: “Today we’re launching The Rumpus Book Club! That’s a pretty quick turn around when you realize I just had this idea yesterday. In other words, this will probably change and take shape and become more clearly defined over time.” (Yes, I still have the email.)
The first book selected was John Brandon’s Citrus County and group discussion started on it in June. October brings our 30th book in the Rumpus Book Club.
