MY NEW WEBSITE
★★★★★
Hello, and welcome to my week-by-week review of everything in the world. Today I am reviewing my new website.
I don’t know a lot of things about the Internet but one thing I do know is that if you are a professional you need to have a website. Sarah Palin just launched her website and to join it costs $9.95 a year. I don’t believe it’s fair to charge people to use the Internet because I was told to believe in Net Neutrally, which is a thing where the Internet is free for everyone.
My website is 100% free to everyone as long as you have the Internet. If you don’t have the Internet you can mail me a SASE and I will print out a copy of my website and mail it back to you. If the printer at Kinkos breaks I will even write down my website by hand. Please expect 8-10 weeks for delivery if that should happen.
My nephew always helps me with Internet things and so he helped make my website. I told him to give me a Flash intro which I read about in a website book at the library, but he said he didn’t know how. I guess that’s why he got fired from Radio Shack. He needs more experience to work professionally in the tech world.
Despite his lack of experience, my website turned out great! It’s better than anything I could have made. I tried to make a website myself once just by winging it but all it turned out to be was that I filled out a survey or something. It might have been an email.
A lot of websites out there these days have advertisements on them. I actually cover about 80% of my computer screen with masking tape, leaving a small window in the center through which I can view things to try and block out the ads. If you do the same thing, you can peel all the tape off your screen when visiting my website – no ads!
My website has all of my writing including my interviews with celebrities and also my video and audio appearances. The one thing it doesn’t have which I wish it did is a cooler website name. I wish it were something exciting like hotdogdynamite.com. Instead it’s simply iamtedwilson.com.
Please join me next week when I’ll be reviewing the color gray.
