DOLPHIN TALE 2
★★★★★
Hello, and welcome to my week-by-week review of everything in the world. Today I am reviewing Dolphin Tale 2.
Similar to Dolphin Tale 1, Dolphin Tale 2 follows the adventures of a dolphin and its presumably magical tail. I have not actually seen the film but many people offer their thoughts on things they’ve never seen, like God or Bigfoot. I have seen the poster for Dolphin Tale 2 and it is very clear this is no ordinary dolphin. His tale his different. So different it’s deserving of not just one, but two movies!
From the looks of things I think the dolphin (who I’ll refer to as Swimmy since I don’t know the other name he was given for the movie) has a bionic tail like a superhero. Superheroes are very popular in cinema these days so it is no surprise to see that genre bleed over into the animal genre.
Swimmy’s tail likely gives him abilities beyond that of a normal dolphin, such as being able to swim extra fast. His tail may shoot lasers. It looks like it does. It’s very inspiring to see such an extraordinary dolphin that is much more important than all the other dolphins.
There are humans in this movie as well but they do not have tails or superpowers. Two of the humans are Ashley Judd and Harry Connick Jr., so this movie better be a musical. If I went to this movie and the two of them didn’t sing a duet about Swimmy and his tail I would feel deceived.
It’s unclear if Swimmy is a male or female. On the poster Swimmy appears to be in love with a boy but then again maybe dolphins don’t even have genders. They’re supposed to be mammals but I’ve never seen a dolphin with breasts. I’ve always had to draw them on myself. If Dolphin Tale 3 has human/dolphin hybrids then I guess I’ll have my answer.
Should you go see Dolphin Tale 2? I mean what’s the worst that could happen?
Please join me next week when I’ll be reviewing insomnia.
