For this I hate New Years. I want every morning to be a new year for me. I want to evaluate my life every day and renew my life every day. No days budgeted for rest. I choose when to take a break, when I feel drunk with the intensity of life and I want to dive into my animalistic self to discover new energy.
On January 1st, 1916, Italian Marxist politician and activist Antonio Gramsci published in his newspaper Avanti! a rant about celebrating the New Year and its capitalistic underpinnings and why we should honor everyday instead. Watching new year 2017 celebration. Maybe age is creeping up on me cause I think all celebrations on tv are so ridiculous; very immature. Used to be that performances were done by more mature performers. Hosts and cohosts now make such stupid comments except for Ryan sea crest. Anyway enough of my ranting. Needed to get this off my chest.
