Saturday 2/11: Sho Sugita reads from his translation of Spiral Staircase, the first definitive volume of Hirato Renkichi’s poems to appear in English. Seminary Co-op Bookstore, 3 p.m., free.

Sunday 2/12: As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

That’s All She Wrote Valentine’s Edition! Readers include Jeremy Owens, Erin Diamond, Stephanie Douglass, and Kathie Shur. Great Lakes Tattoo, 8 p.m., free.

Monday 2/13: Poetry off the Shelf at The Poetry Foundation continues with readings by Angel Nafis and Shira Erlichman! 7 p.m., free.

Wednesday 2/15: The Seminary Co-op Bookstore welcomes Augustus Rose for a reading of his new novel, The Readymade Thief. 6 p.m., free.

Thursday 2/16: Head to Women & Children First to celebrate the launch of Best Worst American, a story collection by local author Juan Martinez! 7:30 p.m., free.
