This week’s theatre recommendation is the Bay Area premiere, by Anton’s Well Theater Company, of Tender Napalm by English playwright/novelist/filmmaker/painter Philip Ridley. This is undoubtedly a major play by a major playwright. With only two characters, Man and Woman, it is as much dance as script and also includes an original score by Greg Zema. The two characters, very much in love, draw upon their dreams and their unconscious to help one another survive the tragedy that is life. Difficult to describe, but wonderful to experience, Tender Napalm should be seen by lovers of poetry, dance, and music as well as playgoers. For further information, click here.
