Joanne C. Hillhouse is from Ottos, Antigua. She is the author of The Boy from Willow Bend and Dancing Nude in the Moonlight, the children s picture book Fish Outta Water, the novel Oh Gad!, and the teen/young adult novel Musical Youth which placed second for the inaugural Burt Award for YA Caribbean literature. Her writing has appeared in several Caribbean and international journals and anthologies including Pepperpot: Best New Writing from the Caribbean, In the Black: New African Canadian Literature, and others. Joanne founded and runs the Wadadli Youth Pen Prize to nurture and showcase the literary arts in her home country. She is excited at the opportunity to publish her first faerie tale, a rare Caribbean faerie tale, and to do so with Little Bell Caribbean.
