Amy and Dave will be discussing the book with Milkweed Publisher & CEO Daniel Slager, and there will be a silent auction to support the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters. Tuesday 9/26: MN Opera @ Books & Bars will be combining opera, literature, and beer! Join moderator Jeff Kamin and special guests, including Minnesota Opera President and General Director Ryan Taylor, for food, libations, and engaging conversations on books related to MN Opera’s 55th anniversary season. All are welcome to this moderated, opera-infused reinvention of the book club. The discussion will center on the novel Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter. RSVP at link below. Wednesday 9/27: Join Birchbark Books for the ninth season of the the Birchbark Books Reading Series, curated by Michael Kiesow Moore and Ardie Medina. September’s reading will feature Todd Boss, Sharon Chmielarz, and Marcie R. Rendon. Bockley Gallery, 7 p.m., free.
