Sketch Book Reviews: White Magic by Elissa Washuta

By

White Magic, written by Elissa Washuta and released on April 27 from Tin House, is an inventive and raw collection of hybrid essays about trauma and trying to find where one belongs. Throughout the collection, Washuta plays with form in ways that both challenge the reader (in the best way) and excites them while never straying away from difficult topics and hard truths.
