PIPING HOT BEES AND BOISTEROUS BUZZRUNNERS is a book for those who really, really love bees.

Although written by a bee expert and accomplished scientist, Thomas Seeley, the book has been woven together with personal narrative. This makes it not only informative but also often heartwarming.

We begin with Seeley as a young boy, finding a bee three (like Pooh) and beginning his early observations of honey bees.

Throughout the book, readers will learn everything from how bees choose a home and their waggle dances to what really makes the queen so special.

Seeley uses historical studies, new findings, charts/graphs, and his absolutely love of bees to teach readers.

The book is very much geared towards those who love bees and want to expand their learning. While challenging at times, it was absolutely a worthwhile read, and I came out with a deeper understanding of how crucial bees really are.
