Scott Beal is the author of Wait ‘Til You Have Real Problems (Dzanc Books, 2014) and The Octopus (winner of the 2015 Gertrude Press Poetry Chapbook Contest). His poems have appeared recently or are forthcoming in Michigan Quarterly Review, Rattle, Diode, Naugatuck River Review, Little Patuxent Review, Vinyl, SiDEKiCK Lit, and other journals. He teaches in the Sweetland Center for Writing at the University of Michigan, serves as Dzanc Writer-in-Residence at Ann Arbor Open School, and co-hosts the monthly Skazat! reading series in Ann Arbor.
