Poetic Lives Online: Links by Brian Spears

Whoever wrote this poem lo those many years ago ought to be forced to wear those shorts.

I’m really surprised there hasn’t been more of a response to David Orr’s piece in the NY Times Book Review last week. Are we poets not petty enough to be insulted anymore? I read the blogs–I know better than that.

If I were anywhere near Milwaukee next weekend, I’d be here. I’ve only been reading the Levertov-Duncan letters off and on for the last three years, after all.

This might be the future of online chapbooks, or at least one of them.

And here’s a way of rejuvenating poetry’s unsung past–republishing out of print journals online.

And finally, sometimes flarf just ain’t enough.
