The annual Gina Berriault Award “honors a fiction writer whose work exemplifies the qualities that distinguish the novels and short stories of the late beloved teacher and writer, Gina Berriault.” This year’s recipient is Melanie Rae Thon.
Thon will give a reading in celebration of her award on Wednesday, May 2nd (that’s tomorrow!) at 7 pm in The Poetry Center at San Francisco State University.
