Sunday 7/7: Sumarr Reading Series presents Sumarr III. Featuring readings and performances from Kirsty Singer, Chris Muniz, Vanessa Carlisle, Genevieve Kaplan and Ryan McIlvan. Live music from Michael Navarette and DJ C.Hem. 3 p.m. at The Concord Space.

PEN Center USA presents the Emerging Voices Fellowship Meet and Greet. This is a panel of current and former Emerging Voices Fellows and mentors for the benefit of interested applicants. Drinks to follow. 5 p.m. at Skylight Books.

Tuesday 7/9: Jordan Mechner reads and signs his new graphic novel, Templar. 7:30 p.m. at Skylight Books.

Wednesday 7/10:. Matthew Specktor reads from and signs American Dream Machine. 7 p.m. at Book Soup.

Thursday 7/11: Jennifer Keishin Armstrong discusses pop-culture writing with Gavin Edwards. 7 p.m. at The Pop-Hop.

Friday 7/12: Sean Carswell will use his new novel Madhouse Fog as a prompt for an Exquisite Corpse engagement, accompanied by drawings by Kiyoshi Nakazawa. The Pop-Hop at 7 p.m.

Xach Fromson is a native Angeleno and the co-host/co-founder of Shades & Shadows, a sci-fi/fantasy/horror/etc. reading series here in LA. He studied creative writing at California State University Northridge, where he worked on The Northridge Review. He received an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California Riverside Palm Desert Low Residency program, and is finishing his first novel.
