David Hajdu is the music critic for The New Republic and the author of four books of nonfiction criticism, including Lush Life and Positively 4th Street. He is a professor at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University, and he is working now on a history of popular music in America. John Carey was the editorial cartoonist for Greater Media Newspapers in Central New Jersey from 2005 to 2013. An exhibiting painter since 1979, he has been the recipient of Pollock-Krasner and Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation artist fellowships. More from this author →
