Friday 2/3: Visit The Book Cellar to celebrate the launch of How to Break a Boy, a debut young adult novel by local author Laurie Devore. 7 p.m., free.

Saturday 2/4: Carolyn Marie Wilkins discusses Mojo for Murder: A Bertie Bigelow Mystery Vol. 2. She will be joined in conversation by Camille Lattimer. 57th Street Books, 2 p.m., free.

Sunday 2/5: As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

Tuesday 2/7: The Book Cellar welcomes Julia Claiborne Johnson for a reading and signing of her novel, Be Frank With Me. 6 p.m., free.

Wednesday 2/8: Head to the Seminary Co-op Bookstore to hear Su’ad Abdul Khabeer discuss Muslim Cool: Race, Religion and Hip Hop in the United States. She will be joined in conversation by Alireza Doostdar. 6 p.m., free.
