Tuesday 5/22: First Person Arts presents “GrandSlam: Momma Said”. The season’s StorySlam winners will compete for the title of “Best Story Teller in Philadelphia”! Hosted by Chris Lundy. 8 p.m. at Fringearts.
The Chasing Windmills reading series will present readings by Angelo Colavita, Lindsay Drucker, Warren Longmire, and Kem Joy Ukwu! 6 p.m. at Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant.
Wednesday 5/23: Frank O’Hara’s Last Lover returns with readings by Hanif Abdurraqib, Raena Shirali, and Alina Pleskova. 7 p.m. at Sam’s Morning Glory Diner.
Thursday 5/24: Miriam Seidel will read from her new novel The Speed of Clouds! 7 p.m. at Big Blue Marble Bookstore.
Tattooed Mom will host an evening of poetry and performance featuring traveling poet Jeremy M. Brownlowe, as well as local poets Cynthia Jones, Author Cashmere, Amber Renee, and Lindo Yes. 7 p.m. at Tattooed Mom.
Charmed Instruments returns with readings by Mandy Gutmann-Gonzalez, Verity Spott, and Dolly Turing! 7:30 p.m. at L’Etage.
Marcellus Hall will debut his new graphic novel Kaleidoscope City. The evening will feature music, a slideshow, a Q&A, and a book signing. 7 p.m. at Brickbat Books.
Saturday 5/26: Big Blue Marble Bookstore will host an evening of cross-genre writing with Kim Gek Lin Short, Joe Hall, and Declan Gould. 7 p.m. at Big Blue Marble Bookstore.
Sunday 5/27: In honor of the launch of Supplement v.2, Orchid Tierney and Ariel Resnikoff will host a BYOB potluck garden party with readings by magazine contributors! 12 p.m. at 4708 Springfield Ave.
