Our next Letter for Kids comes from author and playwright Joy McCullough! Joy writes all about how her bird research for a book became a backyard adventure with the many, many squirrels of Seattle.

Joy McCullough writes books for kids and teens from her home in the Seattle area, where she lives with her husband, two children, a very sweet dog, a very mean cat, and a very spiky bearded dragon. Her first book for teens, Blood Water Paint, won the Washington State Book Award and was on the long list for the National Book Award. Her first book for kids, A Field Guide to Getting Lost, was a Junior Library Guild selection. She has more books for kids and teens coming in 2021 and beyond!
