Freedom is about choice. You have your Classic Coke or Pepsi and your Diet Coke or Pepsi and your Coke Zero (my personal favorite!) or Pepsi Zero Sugar. All of those come with or without caffeine. Plus there are the special edition colas which are occasionally offered, like space-flavored Coke or dream-flavored Coke. And I haven’t even gotten started on the non-colas: the oranges, the grapes, the lemon-limes, the creams, and the root beers. You can even buy FLAVORLESS soda! In our country, you are free to buy a half-gallon of no-name soda for under a buck, or a soda that comes with its own pedigree and artful packaging for six dollars per can. Drink it from a glass or a mug or straight from the bottle. Straw or no straw—your choice. Add a slice of lemon or lime. Pour it over ice or drink it neat. In our country, you can have your soda any way you want. Or don’t have any soda. It’s freedom hall.
