MONDAY 2/07: Alec Baldwin, Zoe Caldwell, Michael Cristofer, Olympia Dukakis, Zoe Kazan, Tony Kushner, Jessica Lange, Marian Seldes, and Angelica Torn come together for a “A Celebration of Tennessee Williams.” The actors will read from Williams’ work to commemorate what would have been his 100th birthday this year. 92nd Street Y. 8 p.m. $27, $10, for ages 35 and under.
TUESDAY 2/08: Twenty poets will read their favorite Elizabeth Bishop poems at “Elizabeth Bishop at 100.” Featuring Paul Muldoon, Alice Quinn, and Maria Tucci reading letters by Bishop. WEDNESDAY 2/09: Just in time for Valentine’s Day: Speed Shrinking for Love with Susan Shapiro. THURSDAY 2/10: Teju Cole, author of the new novel Open City, and David Ebershoff, author of The 19th Wife and Random House editor, will discuss their relationship at “Authors & Editors,” a new series at The Center for Fiction that gives the audience an insight into how a manuscript becomes a book. 7:00 p.m.
