This week’s theatre recommendation is Lorri Holt’s world premiere of her one-woman show, Colette Uncensored, about the liberated French writer whose life spanned much of the 20th century. Co-written by Holt and Zack Rogow, the script includes work from Colette’s Shipwrecked on a Traffic Island & Other Previously Untranslated Gems for which Rogow was a co-translator. During her lifetime, Colette’s literary work was often overshadowed by her scandalous life style, but since her death her reputation has steadily increased. Lorri Holt is a much admired San Francisco actor, who created the role of Harper in the world premiere of Millenium Approaches (the first play of the Angels In America trilogy by Tony Kushner).
